ULTIMATE FAN EXPERIENCE
The Ultimate Fan Experience provides a distinctive chance for college sports enthusiasts to intimately engage with their beloved athletes while also contributing towards charitable causes. Taking place after the Final Four, it offers an exceptional platform for individuals to meet and interact with athletes.
The Story
In 2006, DJ Fisher took notice of the lack of funding provided to an organization that offers emergency, temporary and residential care for children. As an individual with the power, creativity and network to make a difference, DJ organized the Ultimate Fan Experience. Through this event, fans were afforded the opportunity to meet their favorite Jayhawks, Shockers and Wildcats whilst purchasing memorabilia, game-worn gear, gain autographs, take photos, and enjoy a fireside chat over a delicious breakfast buffet. The event raised funds to support both the participating student-athletes as well as the Wichita Children’s Home, who play an integral role in caring for children in need.
Our Mission
Our objective is to provide an unparalleled experience to fans, and contribute positively to the community by helping those children who need us the most. We understand that challenges and difficulties, particularly those affecting low-income families, are prevalent in every city. These adversities can be the root cause of problems such as substance abuse, physical and mental abuse, hunger, and negative impacts on children’s education and self-esteem. We utilize our expertise to develop creative initiatives that connect athletes and fans, with the ultimate goal of assisting at-risk children in overcoming the challenges they face in order to succeed.

ABOUT THE WICHITA CHILDREN’S HOME: From the moment they arrive, helpless infants to hardened teenagers are shown kindness and consolation. The staff attends to each child’s immediate needs, providing a warm bath, nutritious food, clean clothes and medical care. Although more than 2000 children are admitted each year, the Home’s mission extends beyond providing only crisis intervention services.
